Towards democracy
In the 1930s the educationalist and democratic socialist John Dewey described mainstream politics as “the shadow cast on society by big business.”
If anything the concentrated power of business casts an even bigger shadow now that it did then.
Towards democracy is my attempt to shine a light on community initiatives and thinkers who can help us see beyond the shadows.
